About us

The AsianNeo is currently composed of eight neonatal networks from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. The AsianNeo is open and additional neonatal networks from other Asian countries or regions are welcome.

Specific aims are the followings.
 

  1. To understand the differences in systems, clinical management and outcomes of sick newborn infants (e.g. very low birth weight or very preterm infants, infants with various neonatal diseases or congenital diseases) in Asian countries or regions
  2. To improve the quality of neonatal care in participating countries or regions by applying the obtained knowledge and adopting methods of quality improvement
  3. To accelerate the communication among Asian neonatal networks
  4. To educate young pediatricians and neonatologists
